What I’ve Learned in April: Creativity, Surrender & Starting Over Mid-Week

Some months teach you more than others—and April has definitely been one of those months. It’s reminded me that creativity often shows up after surrender. That momentum doesn’t always begin on a Monday. And that starting over mid-week, mid-month, or mid-project is still progress.
This month, I had the opportunity to officially launch GoNatureTours.com, a site built for two passionate Everglades explorers, Danny and Armando. Their vision was clear from day one: create something meaningful. Something wild. Something that feels like home for those who want to see the Glades in a way most never do—uncharted and unfiltered.
It’s not just a tourism site, it’s the start of a movement.
A space for conservation lovers, photographers, nature chasers—people who see the wild and want to protect it.
And honestly, I felt connected to it from the moment they described the first twilight bike ride and eco-adventure. Conservation and photography? Two of my favorite things. It was a treat to walk alongside their vision.
They’re taking RSVPs now for July, and I was lucky enough to hop on a night-tour through the Glades. A wild walk. One I’ll never forget. Watching an owl cut through the stillness—majestic. And stumbling on a tucked-away gator lagoon? Equal parts sketchy and unforgettable.
I even signed up for their Stay Wild list because I need to go back for that Alligator Alley bike tour. It’s now officially on my bucket list.
Creativity, Surrender & Starting Over
This project reminded me of something deeper: Every launch begins with prayer.
I prayed over this project. Over the design. Over the direction. Over the people.
And it turned into something better than I imagined.
This launch is just Phase 1. The gallery updates are coming soon, and Phase 2 is already stirring with even bigger plans. But for now, I’m pausing to say—thank You, Lord. This was a good one.
And even though the rhythm of the month didn’t go perfectly, the purpose was still unfolding. That’s the grace in creative work, in business, and in motherhood:

You don’t need a flawless calendar to build something beautiful. You just need to start. Or restart. Even mid-week.
Here’s to finishing April strong.
